Question 1

What is intuitive painting?

Accepted Answer

Intuitive Painting invites you to let your creativity lead the way as you move with color and brush in hand. In this practice, you rediscover the simple joy of expression and reconnect with your own natural, unfiltered creativity. What matters is the process itself, not the finished painting.

Question 2

Where can I learn more about intuitive painting?

Accepted Answer

We recommend that you check out our 8 minute video “The Intuitive Painting Practice" to give you a feel for the process: www.intuitivepainting.org for additional information https://vimeo.com/470387736?fl=pl&fe=vl

Question 3

Do I need to bring anything?

Accepted Answer

We provide everything for in-studio classes: high quality paints, brushes, paper, aprons and guidance from our experienced teachers. We also have an assortment of hot tea, hot water and filtered water for all. Bring your curiosity!

Question 4

What should I wear?

Accepted Answer

We have aprons you can wear to protect your clothing. We do recommend wearing clothes and shoes that you don't mind spilling paint on however, because even though we use water based tempera, some of the colors can leave behind a stain on lighter fabrics.

Question 5

How do I get there? Is there parking nearby?

Accepted Answer

The studio is located in Glen Park, San Francisco and is a 10 minute walk from the Glen Park Bart station. Served by MUNI lines 35 & 36, and a 5 minute walk from 49 & 14 bus lines on Mission Street. Easy neighborhood street parking is also available.

Question 6

Is the studio wheelchair accessible?

Accepted Answer

Yes the studio is wheelchair accessible. Please reach out to us in advance (ccepaintingstudio@gmail.com) with any accessibility needs.

Question 7

What is your makeup policy? I can't attend one of the classes in the series.

Accepted Answer

We understand things happen! If you notify CCE in advance that you will miss a class, you may make it up by attending a class on a different day. You must complete makeups during the 4-week or 8-week session for which you initially registered; you may not make up classes after that session ends.

Question 8

What is your refund policy?

Accepted Answer

No refunds. Please reach out to CCE via email (ccepaintingstudio@gmail.com) if you have to cancel.

Question 9

I am interested in joining online. Where can I learn more about your online classes?

Accepted Answer

Most all of our classes can be taken online. We offer weekly classes, community classes, workshops, and retreats. Please visit our homepage for a full list of creative offerings.
