About this Event

Hey Principal / High School Counselor / Parents and Students! Are you heading to New Orleans for the 2026 Bayou Classic? While you are planning for the Thanksgiving Day Parade, the bands, and the big game, it is also the absolute perfect time to expose your high school student (Grades 9–12) to the incredible academic opportunities waiting for them at Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

Welcome to the HBCU Power Summit on the Bayou & Information Hub! This Thanksgiving week, we are moving beyond the football field to connect your child directly with recruiters, faculty, and alumni from Grambling State University, Southern University, and powerhouse institutions across the SWAC (Southwestern Athletic Conference).

🌟 Why This Summit is DifferentWe are bypassing generic college fairs to focus strictly on the fastest-growing, highest-paying, and most creative fields shaping the future:

1. STEM Excellence: Computer science, data analytics, engineering, aviation, and pre-med pathways.
2. Fine & Performing Arts: Graphic design, music industry studies, theater, film, and visual arts.

💼 What’s In It for Your Student?

• On-the-Spot Opportunities: Select MEAC / SWAC schools will be reviewing unofficial transcripts for application fee waivers and on-the-spot admissions.
• Mentorship & Networking: Your child will interact with professionals and professors who are leading innovation in tech and culture.
• Classic Raffle: Registering here enters your family into a raffle for tickets to Friday night's iconic Greek Show & Battle of the Bands!
