For Better or For Verse Presents: Poetry Open MIc Night

For Better or For Verse humbly invites you to our first event, an evening of spoken word poetry, cohosted by KB and Ashley.

Whether you're a newcomer, a long time poetry enthusiast, or simply bored on a Monday night, this is an opportunity to share our human complexities in an intimate setting.

This event will be hosted in English, but both English & Portuguese poetry are welcome.

The evening will commence with cocktails available for purchase from the bar (both alcoholic and nonalcoholic) before opening with our cohosts and headliner poets. Afterwards, there will be a brief 15 minute intermission followed by our open mic. Names will be called from the open mic sign up in numerical order.

If you’d like to perform, please prepare as many original poems as you would like, but note that it is a 5 min time block.

This event is open to all, and you do not need to be a poet to attend. We hope to see you there.
