Transforming conflict in organising and campaign groups
A 2 day workshop, 28-29 November, exploring transformative approaches to conflict within social movement groups
Resist + Renew and Seeds for Change are excited to be co-hosting a two day conflict workshop in Manchester!
Over the weekend we’ll explore approaches to conflict informed by the values of transformative justice, collective care and anti-oppression.
When conflicts arise in our organising spaces, many of us struggle to put the transformative principles and values we hold into practice. This can impact our relationships, our groups, and add more challenges to the hard work of social transformation that we came together to do.
Resist + Renew has been developing some tools and activities to facilitate learning for people who are organising for social justice, to feel more equipped to engage with conflict in their groups.
If you’re keen to:
- Understand how societal norms and values affect how we experience and engage in conflict
- Think about the different reactions people can have to conflict (e.g. stress responses)
- Learn some tools and frames to understand conflict when it happens
- Build your confidence to engage with conflict through roleplays and practice
…We would love for you to join us!
