Paju Book City insider's tour - The Korean Literature Club (Seoul)

Join members and guests of the Korean Literature Club for (what we're calling) an insider's tour of Paju Book City outside Seoul.

-- DAY/TIME/ASSEMBLY POINT: on Monday October 5, 2026 (a holiday), we meet at 10:00am at Hongik University Station Exit 1. We are going by public bus No.2200 to Paju Book City. We will get on at the bus' starting-point in Seoul (near Hongdae Exit 1).

-- EXCURSION: A Paju Book City local bookshop owner and local-tour docent, who is a friend of the Club, will meet us and show us around. Paju Book City has an interesting role in recent Korea literature production and dissemination, as we'll see.

-- After the tour, we will have lunch together (optional). Lunch will be at a scenic spot overlooking Paju Book City (vegeterian OK).

-- PARTICIPATION FEE: 20,000 KRW, includes donation to tour-guide, entry fees, and lunch. Pay by cash or transfer on the day-of.

-- ENDING TIME: by 2:00pm we'll finish lunch and disperse from there.

After dispersal by or before 2pm, it's suggested some people might like to wander around the hills nearby; others might want to descend back into Paju Book City, to explore more solo; others may need to dash back to Seoul (or beyond), for usual sorts of long-weekend wheelings and dealings.

-- Newcomers and guests: We're very friendly. If you're interested in this Club and its activities (as you should be!), the Paju trip will be a great time to get to know people. Especially ahead of our sensational big monthly gatherings for "Bonobo" (Thursday October 22, 2026), the classic "Trees on a Slope" (November 12), and other future events.
