Join Shokunin for an intimate evening of Kintsugi, the centuries-old Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold, led by Gabby White of Stone Gold Pottery and the San Francisco Zen Center. Gabby will walk you through the history and philosophy behind the practice — including the animist ideas that shape how she teaches it — before guiding you hands-on through mending a piece with real gold seams.

No experience necessary. Bring a piece of pottery you'd like to repair — smooth glaze and a thick clay body work best — or use one of ours. All materials included.
