Brazil in Many Voices
A vibrant evening of choral music — where many voices bring to life the variety of songs and rithms of Brazil.
Coralina Brazilian Women's Choir is a vibrant vocal group founded in October 2023, with the mission of bringing Brazilian women together through music, fostering community, and celebrating their cultural heritage. The choir sings in Portuguese and welcomes singers of all backgrounds, many without formal musical training, creating an inclusive and supportive environment.
These women are immigrants from Brazil, and some have had to rebuild their lives, switching careers and taking on new roles after moving to the U.S.. Through music, they’ve built a strong, welcoming space for connection, growth, and belonging.
Led by co-directors Dr. Leticia Lima and Beatriz Klavin-Bezerra, Coralina continues to inspire and unite women through music. Beatriz plays the flute, Leticia plays the piano, and together they co-lead the choir, alternating as conductors.
The choir has previously held intimate concerts for family and friends, and with increasing interest from the broader community held their first public concert last year. This will be its biggest public performance yet.
