Long Term Care Considerations (Virtual)

Online event
Overview

If living at home is no longer feasible, you face decision after decision. Let's help explain the options and understand your rights.

Debbie Boures, Deputy State Long-Term Care Ombudsman with Oregon Long Term Care Ombudsman program, will talk about options that are available for care when living at home is no longer an option.

How do you decide which type of facility best suits your needs? If care needs change will the facility be able to accommodate you? Where can you find information on the regulatory history of a facility?

She will discuss ways to make the transition go more smoothly. What questions should you ask when touring a facility? There are many! The role of the volunteer Ombudsman is an important one. You will learn when to utilize their support and learn what rights residents have in assisted living and nursing home care. We will discuss what types of things an Ombudsman can assist you with.
