Join the King Arts Complex on Wednesday, Oct. 7th for an engaging evening with @msallisonglenn, an internationally acclaimed curator and writer whose work explores contemporary art, culture, history, and the power of diverse artistic voices.
Allison Glenn, is a New York-based curator and writer. For seventeen years, she has focused on the intersection of art and public space, through biennials, special projects, public art, & major new commissions by a wide range of contemporary artists working across the globe. She is Curator of the 2026 Toronto Biennial of Art, titled Things Fall Apart, and Curator of Espacio Central, as part of the CARA Platform.
Previous roles include Artistic Director of The Shepherd, Curator of Special Projects for Untitled Miami Beach 2025, and Co-Curator of Counterpublic Triennial 2023, Senior Curator at New York's Public Art Fund, and Associate Curator of Contemporary Art at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. She gained broad acclaim for organizing the pathbreaking 2021 exhibition Promise, Witness, Remembrance at Louisville, Kentucky’s Speed Art Museum.
Her writing has been featured in catalogues published by Sharjah Art Foundation, The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Counterpublic Triennial, Prospect New Orleans triennial, Princeton Architectural Press, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Studio Museum in Harlem, and she been a visiting critic, lecturer, and guest speaker at a number of universities, including University of Victoria, University of Toronto, The University of Tulsa, University of Pennsylvania, and Pacific Northwest College of Art.
Through an intimate conversation and audience engagement, Allison will share insights from her distinguished career working with artists, museums, exhibitions, and cultural institutions around the world. Corey Favor, President and CEO of the King Arts Complex, will moderate the conversation and explore Glenn’s curatorial practice, career, and perspectives on the evolving arts landscape.
