An intimate jazz matinée inspired by the night sky. Presented by Vanderbilt Dyer Observatory and Nashville Jazz Workshop.
Created for this place and this moment, Star Songs brings together three distinctive artists for an intimate jazz performance inspired entirely by the stars, night sky and cosmos at one of the most unique venues in Nashville.
- Hear Allison Young, Piper Jones and Cole Ritter come together for a one-of-a-kind set
- Explore the newly renovated Dyer Observatory, and current exhibition celebrating the evolution of astronomical observation from generations of Vanderbilt astronomers.
- Settle in for an intimate, jazz-club-inspired performance under the back patio tent, with a 90-minute set devoted entirely to music inspired by the stars and cosmos
- Enjoy a beverage, light bites and time on the mountain before the performance begins
- End your visit by looking up, with a complimentary telescope viewing through Dyer’s historic Seyfert telescope, weather permitting
Come early for a beautiful sunset view, stay after the music for a look at the night sky and plan to end the evening by heading to a lovely dinner in Nashville.
