Salon Evenings brings that spirit to Los Angeles today.
AT HOTEL FIGUEROA
We love sharing the lore and the stories tucked into its walls, the characters who passed through its doors, the glamour and spirit of another Los Angeles, and especially the remarkable women who helped create this place and its legacy. There’s a lot of history here, and we love bringing it back into the room.
ABOUT EMILY
Emily Colvin is a Los Angeles artist and the 2026 Artist-in-Residence at Hotel Figueroa. For more than a decade, she has worked with painted glass, developing a practice rooted in light, reflection, movement, and storytelling.
Her work moves between glass, neon, and mixed media, creating immersive pieces that invite people to see familiar things differently.
Over the years, Emily has exhibited and installed her work throughout Los Angeles, from hotels and galleries to large-scale public and cultural spaces.
Salon Evenings offers a more personal way into that world. Around the table, Emily shares the stories, techniques, and discoveries that have shaped her practice—while guests create something of their own.
