Life in Perspective: An Evening with Tiago Forte — Book Launch & Reflection

Overview

A book signing, a guided reflection, and a Q&A to launch Tiago’s new book Life in Perspective: The Art and Power of the Annual Life Review

Our hyperconnected world has eliminated almost every opportunity for reflection — waiting in line, sitting in traffic, lying in bed before sleep. They've all been replaced with screens that keep us disengaged from our own lives.

Join Wall Street Journal bestselling author Tiago Forte — author of Building a Second Brain and The PARA Method — for the official launch of his new book, Life in Perspective: The Art and Power of the Annual Life Review (on sale November 3, 2026). https://lifeinperspective.com

This is Tiago's hometown launch event, held at The Last Bookstore, the iconic downtown LA institution that represents the best of our culture of reading and reflection.

What to expect

  • A live guided reflection: Tiago will lead the room through a guided journaling, meditation, and visualization exercise you can take home and repeat every year.
  • Audience Q&A: Bring your questions about reflection, planning, productivity, and building a life you are proud of.
  • Book signing: Meet Tiago and get your copy signed.

About the book

In Life in Perspective, Tiago distills nearly twenty years of personal practice — and the experience of teaching it to thousands of people worldwide — into a modern, step-by-step process for the annual life review: the ARC Method.

  • Appreciate the Past: Reflect on the past year, build a gratitude practice, and preserve your memories in a way you'll want to revisit them.
  • Reflect on the Present: Gain insight into your current state of being and what wants to emerge beneath the surface.
  • Create the Future: Design the life you want with a "future self portrait" and an actionable plan for the year ahead.

Life in Perspective carves out a third space between "hard" optimization culture and "soft" journaling culture — a guidebook for an annual pilgrimage back to yourself.
