A full day workshop with three perspectives!
One Day. Three Perspectives. Endless Ways to Create.
Join us for a full day of photography, education, hands-on experiences, Sony Alpha gear, and community.
Sony Alpha Collab brings together professional photographers and creatives for a day exploring Wildlife + Nature, Portrait + Studio, and Sports Photography—with plenty of opportunities to get out from behind the screen and actually make photographs.
Start the morning outside on a sunrise wildlife and nature photowalk, then head inside for presentations, studio experiences, hands-on portrait photography with Sony gear-loaners, and an afternoon sports photography panel.
From capturing unpredictable wildlife and building a studio image from the ground up to anticipating the decisive moment on the sidelines, the day explores how working photographers approach very different creative challenges—and what photographers of any experience level can take from their process. Attendees will have opportunities to learn from professionals, get behind the camera, experiment with Sony Alpha gear, and connect with Seattle’s creative community.

MORNING SESSION — NATURE & LANDSCAPE PHOTOWALK | In the Wild
Start the day outdoors with photographer Daniel Fowler. We will meet at Explore wildlife, nature, changing light, and the process of finding compelling images in the environment around you. Start your Sony Alpha Collab experience with an early-morning wildlife and nature photowalk led by photographer **Daniel Fowler** at **Seward Park**. The group will spend up to 90 minutes walking, photographing the sunrise landscape, and looking for wildlife and birds together. Seward Park offers south-facing views where, if conditions are right, you may catch the rising sunlight hitting **Mt. Rainier**, along with plenty of opportunities for wildlife along the way. After the walk, you'll have time to recharge, and make your way to The Collective Seattle in time for the main program beginning at 10:30 AM.
