Patterns & Pilates: The People Pleaser Edition

Patterns & Pilates: The People Pleaser Edition

Overview

Part conversation, part Pilates, part self-discovery. Explore the patterns behind people-pleasing and begin to move through them.

What if some of the patterns shaping your life are running quietly beneath the surface, and once you identify them, you can begin to break them?

For the first edition of Patterns & Pilates, we’re exploring something almost everyone can relate to: people-pleasing. Why do we say yes when we mean no? Why can someone else’s disappointment feel so uncomfortable? And how do we start recognizing the programming behind those reactions instead of simply repeating it?

We’ll begin with a guided conversation exploring where people-pleasing patterns come from, how they show up in our relationships and choices, and how greater awareness can help us interrupt and change them.

Then we’ll take that awareness into the body with an all-levels mat Pilates practice, using breath, movement, and focused attention to deepen the experience. Think of it as part conversation, part movement, part self-discovery—a chance to work with mind, body, and spirit in the same room.

No Pilates experience necessary. We’ll provide the mats and towels. You bring an open mind, an open heart, and a willingness to do something a little differently.

Come curious. Identify what’s been running beneath the surface. And get the mental and physical benefits as you begin to move through it.

Vanessa George is the founder of unPatterned, a personal development and wellness brand born from nearly two decades spent working alongside C-suite executives, entrepreneurs, and some of the most accomplished people in their fields. What she learned in those rooms was simple: success doesn’t make us immune to the patterns that shape our lives.

Through unPatterned, Vanessa helps people uncover the patterns behind how they show up in their relationships, careers, boundaries, and relationship with themselves, then gives them the tools to actually change them. Her work is about turning self-awareness into something you can see and feel in your life: different choices, healthier relationships, stronger boundaries, and a life that feels more like your own.
