Print with Wastewater: a layered living chemistry
In this hands-on printmaking workshop we will explore wastewater as a material and a living system with Wastewater Color artist Nesie Wang
Is there another use for our wastewater? Wastewater Color artist Nesie Junyi Wang creates paint out of what we wash down the sink.
In this hands-on printmaking workshop we will explore wastewater as a material and a living system with Nesie, who will bring insights from biotechnology and artistic practice to provide us with a framework.
Through group discussions and parallel group printmaking processes, you'll unravel the mysteries of wastewater by constructing artistic narrations —giving you the chance to use the sewage-derived pigment.
Create unique prints that blur the lines between science and art. You will leave with a print of your own creation. Will your artwork be a reflection on our relationship with the environment or your art-science curiosity?
Sweet snacks, tea, and coffee provided.
