Join Da Book Joint on Saturday, October 24th from 6–8 PM for an evening celebrating children’s literature, social-emotional learning, and the importance of helping young readers navigate the world around them.
We’re excited to welcome Martina Jackson, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor, educator, and self-published children’s author, for a special book signing featuring her newest book, Erin Meets The School Counselor.
Martina has a long-standing passion for working with children and helping individuals overcome barriers that can keep them from living meaningful lives. Before becoming a counselor, she worked as an educator with young children. Her love of writing began when she was a grade-school student herself, when she received a Young Authors Award for her writing.
Today, Martina is the author of three children's books focused on mental health and social-emotional learning, bringing together her professional experience, love of children, and passion for storytelling.
What to Expect
The evening will include:
- A reading and/or discussion featuring Erin Meets The School Counselor
- An opportunity to hear from Martina about her journey as a counselor, educator, and children's author
- Book signing
- Time to connect with Martina and fellow readers
- An opportunity to purchase a signed copy of the book
We strongly recommend arriving at the start time of 6 PM. The book talk and reading will take place during the event, and we don't want you to miss any part of the program!

Limited Free General Admission Tickets are available for guests who would like to attend the event.
$17.50 Book + Event Ticket includes admission to the event and a signed copy of Erin Meets The School Counselor.
