She embeds patterns from contemporary sociopolitical events into her work to challenge the notion of authenticity and examine the complexities of constructing identities within the context of globalization, cultural hybridity, intersectionality, and the collective struggle for social justice. Her work argues for more capacious possibilities for identity and sense of community.</blockquote>Talk will begin at 6:30pm.Location:<a href="https://mocaarlington.org/home/innovation-studio-store/" title="https://mocaarlington.org/home/innovation-studio-store/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">MoCA Arlington Innovation Studio + Store</a>: 525 14th Street S, Arlington, VA 22202 Free parking available in the garage after 4pm for up to 3 hoursTo livestream the talk: Tune in on Thursday, October 8, at 6:30pm to either MoCA Arlington’s <a href="https://www.facebook.com/mocaarlington" title="https://www.facebook.com/mocaarlington" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Facebook</a> or <a href="https://www.youtube.com/@mocaarlington" title="https://www.youtube.com/@mocaarlington" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">YouTube</a> page!
