FotoFinish 2026 Opening Reception

Join FotoFest's Learning Program for the opening of this year's annual student exhibition, FotoFinish 2026: Amass. Move. Reflect. Enjoy complimentary refreshments and celebrate photo-based works and creative writings by students that illustrate the intricacies of the human experience through food, relationships, and place. Through guided photographic and collage techniques, students document their lived experiences, bringing their voices to the table.

Complementing these visual explorations are love letters to Houston, observations on the significance of play, and other compelling reflections. The photography and writing in Amass. Move. Reflect. illuminate student perspectives that pause, observe, and reflect on ordinary moments to gain a better understanding of self and one’s place in the world.

This program is concurrent with the Across the Americas Opening Reception.
