Bold, intimate, and thrillingly collaborative, Overgrowth invites you into Pegasus Contemporary Ballet's newest genre-defying performance.
Choreographer Elliott Ludovic with composer Sam Brukhman create Overgrowth, a new site-specific performance bringing contemporary dance, electronic music, and visual art into dialogue at the Dallas Contemporary.
Inspired by internationally acclaimed artist Iván Argote’s solo exhibition, How to Move a Monument on a Tuesday Morning, the work responds to ideas of history, memory, monuments, and transformation. As the performance moves between the exhibition and an intimate performance setting, audiences experience choreography, live music, and visual art coalescing in real time.
Brukhman, best known as the founder and Artistic Director of Verdigris Ensemble, steps into a different creative role with an original electronic score performed live, with sections that respond to the dancers' performance.
Bold, intimate, and thrillingly collaborative, Overgrowth brings audiences into the kind of boundary-crossing performance that defines Pegasus Contemporary Ballet.
