EBA Academy: short module on the tokenisation of money and digital assets

This short course will take delegates on a journey from traditional account-based money to tokenised digital assets. It covers the journey through the “Wild West” era of cryptocurrencies to regulated stablecoins and Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs). It deep dives into the topics of stablecoins, regulation, technical infrastructure, risks, market impact, strategic implications and an outlook into the future.

The module includes presentations, videos, live demonstrations of wallet functionality, regulatory case studies, interactive exercises from quizzes to threat/opportunity assessment sessions, breakout workshops on strategic positioning, and comprehensive references to further reading.

The training will take place as follows:

• Wednesday, 20 January 2027, 14:00 – 18:00 CET
• Thursday, 21 January 2027, 09:00 – 16:00 CET

Price for EBA Members: EUR 950; for non-members: EUR 1350. The price includes all seminar activities, learning materials, meal/refreshments during the breaks as well as a dinner on 20 January.
