For designers, how many designs should I bring to the casting call?

Accepted Answer

Designers should bring a minimum of 4 garments/designs. These designs are to provide an example of the designer's brand. These garments do not have to be the same garments that are showcased on the runway.

Can designers bring models in their designs for the casting call?

Accepted Answer

Designers can bring models or mannequins to audition; however, this is not a requirement.

Is this a paid event?

Accepted Answer

All participants for all of our events are paid based on their sales. It is not a requirement for participants to sell anything; however, this does determine their payment.

Is there a designer, model, or performer fee?

No, there is not a participation fee for our production team.

Is there an age, height, or size requirement?

Accepted Answer

No, all models of all ages, sizes, height, and ethnicities are welcomed to audition.

I have never modeled before. Will I be chosen?

Slay Magazine casts aspiring and professional models. We also offer model workshops, model mentor sessions, and more to coach new/aspiring models. Our best advice would be to come audition!

THE REHEARSAL DATES FOR THIS PRODUCTION ARE LISTED IN THE NEXT QUESTION. THE REHEARSALS ARE ON SUNDAYS FROM 3 PM - 6 PM AT THE SAME LOCATION AS THE CASTING CALL. ONE MISSED REHEARSAL IS PERMITTED FOR MODELS. DESIGNERS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE FIRST, THIRD, & LAST REHEARSALS.
