Artificial intelligence is moving from experimentation into the workplace — changing how companies operate, how teams are structured, and what skills will matter in the years ahead.

Join The AI Collective Bucharest for an evening focused on one of the most important questions facing Europe: how will AI reshape the future of work, and how should businesses, governments and society respond?

We will bring together perspectives from public policy, the corporate world, AI and automation, and hands-on AI entrepreneurship to move beyond general predictions and explore what these changes could mean for Romania and the wider European Union.

💡 What we’ll discuss

The conversation will explore some of the biggest questions around AI and employment:

• Jobs at risk and jobs emerging — which roles could be most affected by AI and where new opportunities may appear
• The limits of automation — what AI and automation may realistically achieve over the next 5–10 years
• The junior pipeline problem — if AI changes entry-level work, how does the next generation of experienced talent develop?
• The EU AI Act and the workplace — what AI regulation means for employers, hiring and workplace monitoring
• Who decides how work is reorganised? — the role of governments, technology companies, employers and society
• New economic and fiscal models — including ideas such as Universal Basic Income, universal basic capital and a potential “robot tax”

This will be a conversational panel rather than a slide-heavy presentation, with a moderated Q&A designed to encourage different perspectives and genuine discussion.

Following the panel and Q&A, we’ll have curated networking, giving attendees the opportunity to meet other people working in or interested in AI, technology, business, policy, startups and the future of work.
