The Golden Gate Blues Society picks who carries San Francisco to Memphis, and your ticket comes with a ballot.

The Blues Foundation's International Blues Challenge takes over Beale Street in Memphis every winter, and somebody has to decide who carries San Francisco into it. That decision gets made in this room. The Golden Gate Blues Society brings its shortlist to the Biscuits and Blues stage, each act plays a short set, and every ticket comes with a ballot, so part of the vote is yours.
Last season the society sent Jeffrey James in the solo division and M'sippi Slide in the band division. Acts who want a slot write to the society at ibc@tggbs.org. Everyone else just needs a seat and a ballot. Doors at four, music at five thirty, and by nine o'clock somebody in this room is going to Memphis.
