The Harpsichord's Golden Age: Music by Couperin, Rameau, & Duphly
Join us for a night of pure magic with Grammy nominated harpsichordist Jory Vinikour playing music of the French Baroque.
Welcome to Capriccio Baroque's 2026 Harpsichord Festival in which we explore harpsichord music across the ages in our three-concert 'Counterpoints' series. In this first concert, we invite you into the elegance and splendor of the French Baroque with a program of exquisite music by Louis Couperin, J-P. Rameau, and Jacques Duphly, three of the epoch's most celebrated composers. Their richly expressive music belongs to the 'Golden Age' of the harpsichord, when the instrument and its music reached extraordinary neights of beauty and sophistication. It's a glorious opening for our Counterpoints series. Internationally acclaimed harpsichordist and Grammy nominee JORY VINIKOUR performs this wonderful repetoire, revealing its poetry, sensual refinement, and exquisite beauty.
In Festival Capriccio's 2026's 'Counterpoints' series the harpsichord bridges centuries in an ageless dialogue. With the artistry of acclaimed performers, music of the Baroque, the 20th century, and our own times meets, echos, and illuminates the other epochs in unexpected and captivating ways.
