Dogs in Halloween costumes. Trunk or treating with the Bay’s most beautiful classic cars. Free activities for dog lovers, families, and their friends. A pop-up marketplace for every pet lover. That’s what’s in store for the first annual Wags & Wheels October 31st at Fisherman’s Wharf.

Free to attend, and free to bring the whole crew!

What to Expect

• Free entertainment & activities — Photo opps with a Giant Corgi Butt, dog run, lawn games, all day doggy disco with live DJs, demos, and more.
• Live costume contests with prizes — Multiple competition categories for dogs and their human companions. $5–$20 sliding-scale donation to our adoption partner required for entry. Win cash prizes or make a donation in your honor to our adoption partner.
• Trunk or Treat — trick-or-treat your way down a row of decorated classic cars. $5-20 sliding scale donation to our adoption partner for entry - comes with free face painting and Hot Wheels race entry.
• Pet Marketplace — Shop from pet food, gear, accessories, and meet local pet service organizations.

Getting In

Free General Admission — Watch the costume contest, vote on the best trunk-or-treat host, shop the marketplace, and enjoy the free activities and entertainment.

Trunk or Treat Pass — $5–$20 (sliding scale) A donation-based pass benefiting the San Francsico SPCA that gets you access to the trunk-or-treat zone, free face painting, and an entry into the Hot Wheels Boogie Racer station. Pay what feels right — every dollar goes to a good cause.

Costume Contest Registry —$5–$20 (sliding scale) A donation-based entry fee for the following costume contest categories:

Dog categories:

Wharfiest Woof (costumes inspired by the Wharf: Think Chonkers, seagulls, crabs)

Fast & Furriest (car-themed doggy costumes),

Howl-O-ween King and Queen (best costumes full of Halloween spirit)

Human categories:

Wharf Wonder (costumes inspired by the Wharf)

Speed Racer (car-themed human costumes)

Group Costume

Good to Know

Family-friendly: open to all ages

Costumes encouraged: for dogs and humans alike.

Costume contest winners choose their prize — take it as cash, or donate it to the San Francisco SPCA in your dog's name.

Pawty Etiquette:

• Keep dogs on leashes in all general event spaces (off leash allowed in dog run with supervision)
• Ask dog parents before petting or introducing your dog to a new furry friend
• Use designated rest stations for potty relief and pickup after your furry friend
• Use dog bowls to stay hydrated
