Chris Gethard examines his grandfather's immigration journey through the lens of the current state of America.
In 1928, an 18 year old boy left Northern Ireland, eventually winding up in New Jersey. The area he left became very war torn. He never saw his parents alive again, nor most of his eleven siblings. He did all of that so future generations of his family could have a better shot at life than he had. Approaching the 100 year anniversary of that sacrifice, his grandson, Chris Gethard (The Office, Beautiful/Anonymous, HBO's Career Suicide, etc) asks a simple question: was it worth it?
