An ERHUA PLAYGROUND x WISH U WERE HERE workshop: come gather and play ⛲️
Our fifth session, “Archiving Memory into Stone” will be led by Ajwa Zulfiqar (@ajwazul) 💌
Come learn how to do a guided journalling and art-making workshop using found stones and rocks! Ajwa Zulfiqar is an arts worker, thinker, and anthropologist interested in creating more accessible and inclusive art spaces. Her work spans community programming and curating art markets at Wychwood Barns, and advising public mural projects with StreetArt Toronto. Ajwa’s personal creative practice is centred on looking, curating, and archiving memory and emotions that exist in liminal spaces. Building this practice through community-centered gatherings and relational art practices, Ajwa runs @moon__minded. She is also a serious dessert enthusiast.
Join in the spirit of these sessions being “anyone can be an [insert creative discipline here]”—whether that is a DJ, a ceramicist, a tattooer, a writer…come and collect whichever new skills and experiences you wish, gathering your own fruit basket which becomes sweeter with each session. 🧺🍓🍇🍑🍊🍏
