Hey Chica! POWER TO THE CHICA

Power to the Chica is where community meets action.

This is the advocacy pillar of the No Mean Girl Movement coming to life through one of our most important commitments: Don’t be mean to your community.

On October 17, we’re bringing the Chicas together for a high-energy morning of brunch, live music, powerful conversations, connection, and civic engagement. Because advocacy doesn’t only happen at a podium or inside a government building. It happens when we know what is happening around us, understand the issues affecting our families and neighborhoods, use our voices, ask questions, vote, volunteer, organize, and decide how we want to show up for the communities we call home.

Power to the Chica is a nonpartisan gathering. We aren’t coming together to tell women what to think or who to support. We are creating space for Chicas to become more informed, more connected, and more confident in participating in the issues that matter to them.

Throughout the morning, we’ll explore conversations around advocacy, voting and why participation matters, civic engagement, and issues affecting Latina women and our communities. Guests will hear from dynamic speakers, experience interactive activations, connect with community resources, meet other women who care about making an impact, and enjoy plenty of music, brunch, and that unmistakable Hey Chica! energy.

And yes—our Latina Voter shirts are back. Women attending Power to the Chica will have the opportunity to receive one of the shirts that has become part of this experience and a reminder that our voices belong in the conversation.

This isn’t about agreeing on everything.

It’s about showing up.

Showing up informed.

Showing up for our neighborhoods.
Showing up for the issues we care about.
Showing up for one another.

Because when Chicas understand the power of their voice and their ability to participate in their communities, something shifts.
