swedm® (Varg2TM & jamesjamesjames)

European club heritage meets a new underground on October 29 as swedm® comes to The Great Northern.

Fronted by Varg2tm and jamesjamesjames, the multidisciplinary project took shape in late 2024 while the pair worked on Skrillex’s Fuck U Skrillex You Think Ur Andy Warhol but Ur Not!!. Their shared mission: preserve the spirit of European dance music while pushing it somewhere unexpected.

Drawing on the golden eras of club classics, swedm® connects the emotion and spectacle of heritage EDM with the experimentation of contemporary underground culture. It’s a love of the source material with a restless eye on what comes next.

In a scene increasingly shaped by algorithms and disposable moments, swedm® wants to bring fantasy and vitality back to the dancefloor.
