Wolfgang & Luke Art Gallery invites you to visit Safoura Haghighi in her Great Falls studio on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18.

Safoura’s work draws from the centuries-old traditions of Persian miniature painting and illumination while bringing her own contemporary voice to themes of poetry, spirituality, nature, symbolism, and cultural legacy.

Her paintings are created through meticulous layers of gouache, watercolor, fine brushwork, ornamentation, and genuine gold. Many require well over 150 hours of work and reward the kind of close looking that is difficult to experience through photographs alone.

During your visit, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Meet Safoura and hear about her artistic process
• See a larger collection of her work in person
• Learn about Persian miniature painting and illumination
• Discover the poetry and symbolism behind individual works
• View original artwork available for acquisition
