Nerd Roast: Roast of Action Heroes! Plus Free Pizza!

Nerd Roast is back at Denver Comedy Underground, and this time the action heroes are coming for the Terminator.

This monthly comedy showcase pits fictional characters against each other in a good old-fashioned roast, with some of your favorite local comedians stepping into the roles. For this edition, the Terminator is the Roastee of Honor, surrounded by a lineup of action-movie icons ready to take their best shot.

Saving the world, surviving aliens, escaping impossible situations - none of it is going to help when the microphones come out.

MEET THE ACTION HEROES AND THE COMEDIANS PLAYING THEM

The Terminator may be the guest of honor, but he is far from the only action legend hitting the stage.

• The Terminator - Mitch Jones
• Beatrix Kiddo - Hannah Popkin
• John Wick - Nick Holland
• Rambo - Ben Bryant
• Ellen Ripley - Cori Stewart
• Shaft - Phil Corridor
• Sarah Connor - Zac Maas
• John McClane - Cory Helie

It is a lineup full of assassins, survivors, revenge seekers, war heroes, and people who are usually much better at solving problems with weapons than punchlines.

Expect movie references, ridiculous rivalries, personal attacks, and plenty of reasons for the Terminator to wish he could just say “I’ll be back” and leave.

ACTION MOVIES MEET DENVER COMEDY

Nerd Roast takes characters people already know and drops them into a completely different kind of showdown.

Whether you are an action-movie fan, a comedy fan, or just want to see what happens when Sarah Connor gets another shot at the Terminator, this edition brings a very different kind of live comedy to the DCU stage.

Denver Comedy Underground hosts touring headliners, local favorites, stand-up showcases, and original Denver comedy shows every week. If you’re looking for comedy shows in Denver, a night out at a Denver comedy club, or something different to do with friends, Nerd Roast brings the kind of chaos you will not get from a traditional stand-up show.
