When does the presentation begin?

The workshop starts promptly at 10:30 AM.
To receive your HUD certificate, you must complete the full 6-hour training.

There is limited street parking in the area. We strongly recommend taking public transit or arriving early to secure parking.

Will I receive a HUD certificate?

Yes! Participants who complete all 6 hours of the workshop and complete their 2 hour 1 on 1 session with one of our HUD Certified Counselors, will receive a HUD-approved Certificate of Completion.

Yes! Lunch, coffee, and light refreshments will be provided for all participants. You’re also welcome to bring your own snacks if you’d like.

We encourage only registered participants to attend so you can stay focused and complete all required hours. However, guests supporting your homebuying journey may attend on a case-by-case basis.

This workshop includes the full instruction required for Homebuyer Education certification. Participants must complete the required workshop hours to receive a Certificate of Completion and commitment-fee refund. Please arrive early enough for parking and check-in.

Not at all. This workshop is valuable whether you're ready to purchase now, several months away, or simply trying to understand what it will take. You'll leave with a clearer understanding of where you are and what your next steps should be.

SFHDC's new Down Payment Assistance Program provides up to $10,000 to qualifying homebuyers purchasing in San Francisco, Alameda, or Contra Costa County. Workshop participants will learn more about eligibility and how the assistance may fit into their homebuying plan.
