2026 Arkansas Living Treasure Award Reception

2026 Arkansas Living Treasure Award Reception

Overview

Fiddler Tim Trawick will be honored as the 2026 Arkansas Living Treasure!

The Arkansas Arts Council will honor the 2026 Arkansas Living Treasure, fiddler Tim Trawick, during a reception and event 5-8 p.m. Nov. 20 at Historic Arkansas Museum in Little Rock.

Look for a night of music and celebration!

Tim Trawick, of Greenbrier, is being honored for his community spirit as well as his master of old-time fiddle playing over the past 40 years. Friends, family and students will join Trawick on stage and throughout the museum for a special night of music!

Read more about Trawick at www.ArkansasArts.org.

Since 2002, the Arkansas Living Treasure program has recognized an Arkansas creative who excels in the creation of a traditional craft or folk art and who preserves and advances their craft through community outreach or teaching others.

The reception for Trawick will celebrate the artist and his craft (old-time fiddle) with an art talk, special speakers, music showcase, public jam session, and food! The public is welcome to bring instruments and join public jam sessions. The Ottenheimer Theater will be playing live simultaneously!

This event is a call back to a time when neighbors gathered on porches to play together and friends and families took the stage. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments are provided.

This event is free! Registration is not required but is appreciated as we continue to plan. For more information, email scarlet.sims@arkansas.gov.
