Shaping the Future of Safety in Robotics and AI Systems Join us for an exclusive Summit on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be applied in safety-critical systems and what it takes to get these solutions certified for real-world deployment. We’ll also touch on how emerging standards like ISO/IEC TS 22440 are opening doors to new possibilities. Designed for forward-thinking leaders in emerging technologies, this event brings together those shaping the next generation of robotic and AI systems for industry and everyday use.Why You Want to Be There As AI rapidly integrates with physical systems, understanding and implementing robust safety measures is essential for ensuring operational integrity and protecting your organization from significant risks. This Summit offers a unique opportunity to directly engage with leading safety experts and gain insights into the state-of-the-art safety opportunities. You’ll participate in high-level discussions and gain foresight into the future of industrial AI and robotics safety.Who Should Attend This event is specifically tailored for professionals in industries where safety is paramount. If you are an industrial innovator, a safety expert, or a decision-maker responsible for the safe implementation of cutting-edge technologies, this Summit is for you. This event is free to attend.Check out more events at www.reynolds-moore.com/events

Agenda

Check-In & Networking

Theme: Lessons Learned from Large-Scale Deployments and The Future of Function

Welcome

Explore the current state of robotics and AI safety, the challenges shaping today’s landscape, and the emerging approaches driving safer technologies for the future.

Robotics and AI Safety – Where We Stand, Where We’re Going

Explore how functional safety requirements evolve as autonomous mobile robot deployments grow from individual pilot programs to fleets of thousands operating alongside people. Learn what it takes to maintain functional safety across an increasingly complex operational ecosystem.

Functional Safety at Scale – Large-Scale AMR Systems

Networking Break

Theme: Solving Safety Challenges When Deploying Physical AI

Discover how human-in-the-loop control, active onboard safety, and outside-in safety can support autonomous mobile robots operating beyond traditionally restricted environments. This presentation will examine how these complementary approaches can enable safer human-robot collaboration without sacrificing operational efficiency.

Getting Autonomous Mobile Robots Out of Their Cages

Explore whether humanoid robotics developers should build safety functions internally or buy certified motion control, sensing, and safety technologies from specialized partners. Drawing lessons from industrial automation and emerging humanoid platforms, this presentation examines the cost, risk, certification, timeline, and performance of tradeoffs of each approach.

Functional Safety: Make vs. Buy in Humanoid Robotics

Compute decisions get made early in a robotics program and are rarely revisited, yet they set the limits on timing predictability, sensor synchronization, and whether real-time motion control and AI inference can share one brain. Learn which processor-level questions to ask while the design is still open, and what those answers mean for the safety case later.

Choosing the Brain: The Safety Questions to Ask Before You Pick Your Processor

Theme: Path Toward Certification of Physical AI

Explore how physical AI combines deterministic control software with AI-driven perception. Discover why classical safety verification and emerging AI trust methods under IEC 61508 and ISO/IEC 22440 must coexist as robotics teams pursue certification.

Two Kinds of Trust: Deterministic Verification in an Age of Probabilistic AI

Safe deployment of AI-driven solutions in safety-critical applications requires impartial, accredited validation. This presentation explores the path to certification for AI in functional safety through AI safety life cycle assessment and novel testing methods that link abstract virtual testing to physical AI.
