Ted Sablay — State & Motion: Vinyl Listening + Acoustic Set

My new record "State & Motion" comes out that morning. That evening we're playing it front to back at Echo, an intimate bar and vinyl listening lounge in downtown Las Vegas built for listening to records.

The night runs about ninety minutes. One song acoustic to start, then a conversation with journalist Kristen DiChiara about how the record got made, then all ten songs on Echo's hi-fi system with the lights down. I'll play a short acoustic set to close and stick around after.

The record is ten songs written across four years between tours. Pete Thomas of Elvis Costello and the Attractions played drums, Whynot Jansveld of the Wallflowers played bass and mastered it. It was photographed in the Huntridge neighborhood of Las Vegas by Ashley Marie Myers. I've played guitar as a touring musician for The Killers since 2006 and musical director since 2022.

This is my own record, and this is the first time anyone gets to hear the whole thing on a proper hifi system, the way it was meant to sound. Doors at 6. Come early if you want a good seat. Vinyl and CDs will be on the table. Free event, but there are only fifty seats and that's the whole room.

Parking is metered street parking on Main and the surrounding blocks.
