Birds live all over the world. Some live in the wilderness but many of them live in the Urban environment. Sharing spaces with these birds is such a blessing. Come learn about the birds that call the Marigny home. We will talk about the birds and observe them in their environment. We will also talk about how we as humans can help birds be successful in our urban spaces.
Helen is an Urban Naturalist who explores the Marigny, and all of the flora and fauna that calls it home, on a daily basis. She is a Certified Master Naturalist, a Certified Louisiana Native Plant Professional and a practicing Augur. It is her life's work to help us learn about and experience nature within the urban environment.
Bring binoculars if you have them. An extra pair will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
This walk is free but donations are happily accepted. Your donations allow these walks to continue.
