Echoes of Chornobyl: Truth, Environment and Our Human Rights
A documentary screening and discussion exploring Chornobyl, truth, memory, environmental justice and human rights.
Join AUGB Glasgow for a special screening of Echoes of Chornobyl, a documentary by filmmaker Lana Delaroche, presented as part of Scotland’s Human Rights Festival 2026.
The film explores the human impact of the Chornobyl disaster through memory and testimony, raising questions about truth, access to information, responsibility and environmental justice.
Following the screening, we will hold a moderated discussion and Q&A exploring the film, its historical context and the continuing relevance of Chornobyl today. The conversation will connect the story of Chornobyl with wider questions of human rights, environmental safety, public accountability and historical memory.
The event brings together Ukrainian and wider Scottish audiences for an evening of documentary film, reflection and conversation.
