ABOUT DAMARY!
Dr. Damary M. Bonilla-Rodriguez is a nationally recognized leadership strategist, researcher, and speaker whose work examines the intersection of culture, leadership, impostor syndrome, and perfectionism among women leaders.
Through her research and keynote presentations, she helps organizations understand how cultural narratives shape leadership behaviors and how to build stronger, more inclusive teams.
She is the author of Modern Marianismo: Its Relevance and the Connection to Impostor Syndrome and Perfectionism, available in both English and Spanish and widely used as a resource for leadership development and cultural insight. Her work has been featured in national media and leadership forums, and she regularly speaks to universities, healthcare systems, nonprofits, and corporate audiences.
Dr. Bonilla-Rodriguez is the Chief Content Officer for the Pennsylvania Latino Convention and is appointed to Governor Josh Shapiro’s Statewide Latino Commission. She also chairs the Education Committee for the Monroe County Children and Youth Advisory Board.
In addition, she is Vice President and Governance Committee Chair of the Board of Maternal Family and Health Services and serves on the boards of the ACLU of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Diversity Educator Consortium, and the Salvation Army of East Stroudsburg.A former school board director, history-making candidate for state office, and recipient of numerous leadership and community awards,
Dr. Bonilla-Rodriguez is deeply committed to strengthening leadership pipelines, advancing equitable representation in decision-making spaces, and building inclusive systems. She is most proud to be the mother of sixteen-year-old twins, Caleb and Joshua, and the wife of Roberto Rodriguez.
