October's theme heralds THE WAY to HAPPINESS. Join us!

The Church of Scientology National Affairs Office is hosting a special exhibition presented by The Way to Happiness DC Chapters and Art Impact® International to celebrate HAPPINESS! Come and enjoy the artwork. The exhibit features four artists with unique styles. They will be present and ready to discuss their art with you.

Carolyn Goodridge • Encaustic Painter
Award-winning encaustic artist, collected by?Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. ?Orchestrating colors, mixing finely ground raw ?pigments with melted beeswax in the ancient process of encaustic, combining Eastern and Western ?spiritual and quantum physics ideologies.

Felicia Reed • Wet Felting Fabric Artist
An internationally recognized, award-winning fiber artist specializing in wet felting, an ancient technique of hand-agitation to create fabric using primarily silk and wool, honored as a Gold Awardee at the prestigious 2022 Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum’s Annual Juried Exhibit.


Patrick Smith • Modern Art Portraitist
Prominent multidisciplinary visual artist, arts educator, and community advocate features artwork rich with color and meaning. Attended the Duke Ellington School of Arts in Washington, DC. where he found his love for visual arts and portraits, getting lost in the expression and tones of the human face.

J. Thomas Wells • Assemblage Artist
An assemblage artist whose work follows in the tradition of Africa and North America, where found objects are the raw materials from which their religious and ethnic icons are created. Story telling since the age 10, inspired by Edgar Allen Poe, his grandmother, and esposure while in Japan to Sumi-e brushwork, shaped his career as an artist.


Feature Art: Felicia Reed, Longevity, wet felting, 48 x 18 in.

During the evening the artists will give a brief presentation about their artwork. Through the exhibition of their art they forward the mission of The Way to Happiness Foundation, which is to increase understanding between families, friends, groups, communities, nations and Mankind—making a safer, less violent world for us all.

The mission is to reverse the moral decay of society by restoring trust and honesty the world over through the publication and widespread distribution of The Way to Happiness, a common sense guide to better living. This mission is accomplished on a grass-roots level, thousands of volunteers worldwide, individuals who share The Way to Happiness book with others and so bring about social betterment.
