About The Speaker:

Kristina Gatto is an astrophysicist, science communicator, and CEO and Founder of the Network for Outreach and Vocation in Astronomy (NOVA), an international platform dedicated to expanding access to astronomy and creating opportunities for aspiring and professional astronomers. She earned a B.S. in Astrophysics from Siena University, with minors in Mathematics and Data Science, and pursued a Ph.D. in Physics at the University of North Dakota, where her academic work further developed her expertise in astrophysics. As she transitioned from her doctoral studies toward research, science communication, science policy, and outreach, Kristina founded NOVA to build a global community for astronomy and space enthusiasts. Through NOVA and her social media platforms, she creates educational content reaching tens of thousands of followers, while developing mentorship programs, events, and resources for students and aspiring astronomers.
