Overview
Zelenka’s Missa votiva is a vibrant Baroque masterpiece, blending intricate counterpoint, dramatic energy, and profound devotion.
Friday, April 30 at 7:30 pm and Saturday, May 1 at 2:00 pm.
Music at Epiphany will present two performances of Jan Dismas Zelenka's Missa Votiva, a rarely performed work born from gratitude after a harrowing illness. It moves between shadow and light, anguish giving way to unrestrained joy. The Epiphany Choir will be joined by an all-star baroque orchestra and soloists - Danielle Reutter-Harrah, soprano and Elijah Blaisdell, baritone - in this explosive, deeply human work.
