Question 1

What is the format of the event, and will there be speakers?

Accepted Answer

This is a relaxed, small-format networking mixer for tech, startup, and business professionals. There are no keynote speakers, panels, or presentations—the entire 2 hours is dedicated to organic conversations and attendee-to-attendee connections.

Question 2

Are food and drinks included with admission?

Accepted Answer

No. Food, non-alcoholic drinks, and alcoholic beverages are not included in any ticket tier. All food and drinks must be purchased separately and directly from SoMa Social. Attendees purchasing alcohol must present valid government-issued ID (21+).

Question 3

Can I attend alone, and do I need to work in tech?

Accepted Answer

Yes, most guests attend individually. Tools like Goal Tags and guided Connection Resets make starting conversations effortless. You do not need to work in tech or be a founder; professionals from all industries (marketing, sales, consulting, creative, finance) are welcome.

Question 4

What is the difference between standard tickets and Connection Plus?

Accepted Answer

Networking Night ($39) provides full event access and a post-event follow-up toolkit. Connection Plus ($59) adds priority check-in, a 30-day planner, and the ability to submit up to 3 preferred professional profiles for organizer-facilitated introductions on-site where relevant matches exist.

Question 5

How does the Free RSVP / Standby ticket work?

Accepted Answer

A Free RSVP places you on a standby waitlist and does not guarantee event entry. If unused capacity opens up, selected registrants will receive an official confirmation email before the event. Please do not come to the venue without that confirmation.

Question 6

What is the refund and ticket transfer policy?

Accepted Answer

Paid tickets are refundable up to 7 days before the event via Eventbrite (platform processing fees apply). Within 7 days of the event, tickets are non-refundable, but you can transfer your ticket to a colleague or peer through your Eventbrite account before check-in.
