Introduction to Wheel-throwing with Grace (6 weeks)

Let’s have fun and learn how to throw on the pottery wheel! In this beginner friendly six week class, our instructor will guide you through throwing pots on the wheel, trimming bottoms, adding handles, and glazing. We will build foundational skills by creating functional pieces such as bowls and cups. Our studio focuses on providing a supportive and creative space for our students to learn. Our instructors have years of experience and are eager to share their passion for clay with you!

  About the Instructor: Grace Aroella-Jarvie (they/them;https://www.instagram.com/gaj.studios)
  
  Grace has been engaging with ceramics since 2016 and has made it their full-time endeavour for the last 2 years. They deeply enjoy sharing the joys of working with clay and have over two years of teaching experience for both wheel and hand building with clay. Grace works with each student to help them understand how to manipulate clay for successful pieces, while exploring their own creativity. They strive to make their classes enjoyable and fulfilling.

Please be aware that in ceramics, there are always possibilities of mishaps (breakage, chipping, bubbling, etc.) during firing, glazing, and finishing stages. We will try our best to ensure a safe and successful completion of your pieces
