The Solstice SistersBlending bluegrass and old-timey country songs into three part vocals with skillfully played instrumentals has been the mission of the Solstice Sisters for nearly three decades. Their entertaining antics and acoustic acumen have been enjoyed on festival stages all over the South. Susan Staley and Maggie Hunter are original Sisters; Susan's guitar and the pair's vocals being a constant. Then a crew of talented fellows became honorary Sisters. Mike Harrison on banjo, Will James on dobro and Keith Morris on bass and vocals. And, for their annual holiday show, 'Blue Ridge Mountain Christmas', they'll be joined by fiddling virtuoso, Andy Carlson. The band has made two holiday recordings and one for "The Rest of the Year".
