This private event was inspired by the Reddit group "r/Interstellar", a dedicated group of fans who wanted a chance to see this Interstellar again on the big screen. We brought this film back to IMAX in July of 2023. Since it's been a few years, We decided it was time to do it again! I've established a private agreement to bring this film back to The Bay Area on Veterans Day - Wednesday, November 11th at 9:30 AM. Interstellar will be presented in full 1.43:1 Dual Laser IMAX with NO trailers.

Event Terms & Conditions

By purchasing a ticket, contributing toward the cost of the event, or attending the screening, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Independent Community Event. This is an independently organized, volunteer-coordinated community event operated on a venue group-buyout basis. It is not sponsored, endorsed, or affiliated with AMC Theatres, IMAX Corporation, Paramount, Syncopy, or any other film studio, distributor, or trademark owner. All trademarks and intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners. The event is subject to the venue’s policies and outlined contract terms.

2. Assumption of Risk. Attendees voluntarily participate and assume the ordinary risks reasonably associated with attending a public event, including risks arising from the acts or omissions of other attendees. Attendees are responsible for their own conduct and personal belongings and must exercise reasonable care for their own safety. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability to the extent such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

3. Personal Property and Liability. Attendees are responsible for their personal belongings. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the event organizer and volunteers are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property, or for delays, schedule changes, technical issues, or other operational disruptions beyond their reasonable control. Nothing in these terms releases any party from liability that cannot legally be waived.

4. Venue Rules and Conduct. All attendees must comply with venue rules, applicable laws, and reasonable instructions from venue staff and event organizers. Disruptive conduct is prohibited, including talking during the screening, texting or using devices in a manner that disturbs others, unauthorized photography or recording, harassment, and attempting to enter after doors have closed. The organizer and venue reserve the right to deny admission or remove attendees who violate these rules, subject to applicable law. Removal for an attendee’s misconduct does not entitle that attendee to a refund, except where required by law.

5. Tickets, Transfers, and Resale. Tickets and seat commitments are non-transferable unless the organizer expressly authorizes a transfer in writing. Reselling tickets or seats is strictly prohibited. The organizer reserves the right to review multiple orders, repeated purchases, and other purchasing patterns that reasonably raise concerns about unauthorized resale, transfers, or circumvention of ticketing limits. The organizer may request verification of the purchaser’s identity and the intended recipients of tickets. Unauthorized transfers or resales will result in order cancellation and denial of admission to any present or future events hosted by the organizer, without any refund of ticket prices or platform fees, to the extent permitted by applicable law and ticketing platform policies

6. Purchaser Verification and Group Entry. Where required by the organizer as part of a disclosed ticket verification or entry requirement, the original purchaser named on the order must be physically present at the theater, present a valid government-issued photo ID, and accompany all guests entering under that order. Guests holding tickets associated with an order subject to this requirement will not be admitted without the named purchaser present. The organizer may request the full names of intended guests and other reasonable information necessary to verify compliance with these terms. Failure to complete a clearly communicated verification requirement within the stated deadline may result in cancellation of the affected order or denial of admission, subject to applicable law and ticketing platform policies. Any cancellation and refund will be handled in accordance with the terms applicable to the order, platform policies, and applicable law.

7. Contributions and Refund Policy. Contributions are used to cover the shared costs of organizing and operating the event. Except where a refund is required under this policy, Eventbrite’s applicable policies, or applicable law, payments are final and non-refundable. If the entire screening is canceled and is not rescheduled, the organizer will refund the base amount collected for the attendee’s commitment, not including any Eventbrite fees. If the event is postponed or rescheduled, or if the screening is interrupted or partially performed, the organizer will communicate the available options and handle refunds in accordance with the applicable Eventbrite policies and applicable law. Any refund of ticketing or processing fees will be handled in accordance with Eventbrite’s applicable policies. No refund is guaranteed for delays, technical issues, or schedule adjustments that do not amount to cancellation or nonperformance requiring a refund.

8. Changes and Unforeseen Circumstances. Screening times, admission procedures, and event arrangements may be affected by venue operations, technical problems, emergencies, or other circumstances beyond the organizer’s reasonable control. The organizer will communicate material changes as reasonably practicable and will handle cancellations, postponements, and refunds in accordance with the applicable policies and law.

9. Updates to Event Policies and Requirements. The organizer reserves the right to make reasonable updates to event rules, admission procedures, ticket verification requirements, security measures, and other operational requirements as necessary to protect attendees, maintain event integrity, prevent unauthorized ticket resale or transfers, comply with venue requirements, or address unforeseen circumstances. Material updates will be communicated to affected attendees within a reasonable timeframe. Updates will be applied prospectively where required by applicable law and will not override rights or obligations established by the terms applicable to an existing purchase, except where otherwise permitted by law or agreed to by the purchaser. All updates remain subject to applicable law and venue policies.

10. Acknowledgment. By completing a purchase or attending the screening, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms and agree to comply with them. These terms do not waive any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.
