Heartland Marimba (founded in 2014) has appeared in hundreds of concerts across North America and Europe since its creation by soloist Matthew Coley. The 2026- 2027 Season is HM’s 12 touring season and is entitled “Hitting All 12 Notes: Coast to Coast!” The distance traveled with marimbas in tow will set a record; it includes appearances in Oregon, California, Pennsylvania, North & South Carolina, Texas, Nevada, New York City, and more. The 2025–2026 Season was the "Echoes and Evolutions" season, and HM impressively executed eleven tours!
Through its one-of-a-kind business model and programming choices, HM offers a platform for the music of American composers and continues to expand its repertoire with works from composers worldwide. The distinctly 8 creative members of HM’s artist roster combine to create virtuosic and electrifying ensembles. With its mission of reaching a wider audience and increasing appreciation for marimba music, HM enthusiastically develops and disseminates the classical marimba art form in both academic and community contexts.
