Join us for a cozy and welcoming gathering where you can enjoy your favorite book in peaceful company! This event is designed to be an inclusive and safe space for all attendees.

Feel free to bring your kids along — we have wonderful volunteers (and books) who will be looking after them while you read and relax.

We provide small refreshments and you are welcome to contribute to it. After the reading hour, spend time with fellow readers, share what you are reading, and get a heap of recommendations!

The event is easily accessible to both English- and Czech-speaking people.

This event is part of an international initiative run by Silent Book Club Chemnitz. At the same time, readers in Chemnitz, Leipzig, and Gdaňsk will meet and read together. Optional fun activities connect readers across locations.

Registration is optional. It just helps us to prepare the event to fit the number of participants. This is esp. important for organizing the babysitting. You don't have to use your real name in the registration.

Organizer: Veronika Smrčková, an experienced facilitator and feminist, ensures you feel safe, welcome, and that socializing feels natural, not awkward. She runs a regular short story book club for Femme Palette.

Photos: We would like to take a few pictures and share them on social media. We will make sure that only people who are ok with that are included in the pictures. No pictures of children. We honour your privacy.
