Question 1

Why one-to-one guidance?

Accepted Answer

Because every person is different.

We have different bodies, lifestyles, strengths, limitations and levels of experience. Instead of asking everyone in the room to follow the same sequence, your teacher works with you individually and gives you a practice suited to where you are today.

As you prog

Question 2

Is it a private one-to-one class?

Accepted Answer

Not quite.

You practise in a shared space alongside other students, but each person may be working on a different practice.

Your teacher moves around the room, observing and guiding each student individually.

Think of it as personal guidance within a community of practitioners.

Question 3

Why not just follow the same class as everyone else?

Accepted Answer

There’s nothing wrong with group classes, but they may not suit everyone.

Someone completely new to yoga may need something different from someone who has practised for ten years. Someone who sits at a desk all day may need something different from someone who runs every morning.

We believe your p

Question 4

I’ve never done yoga before. Can I join?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely.

In fact, you don’t need to know any yoga poses before coming in.

Your teacher will start with you from the beginning and guide you step by step. There’s no pressure to keep up with anyone else in the room.

Question 5

Do I need to be flexible?

Accepted Answer

No.

Flexibility is not a requirement for yoga.

You come with the body you have today, and we work from there.

Question 6

Who are the teachers?

Accepted Answer

Our teachers are trained in the Hatha Vidya tradition and continue to practise, study and deepen their understanding of yoga themselves.

More importantly, they are here to teach — not simply lead a class.

They observe your practice, guide you individually, make adjustments where needed and help yo

Question 7

Will I always have the same teacher?

Accepted Answer

Your practice belongs to you, rather than to a particular class.

Our teachers work within the same teaching tradition and approach, so your practice can continue even when you are guided by a different teacher.

Question 8

How does my first session work?

Accepted Answer

Come as you are.

Your teacher will first understand a little about you, your experience and what you hope to get from your practice.

From there, we begin.

You’ll be guided through your practice step by step, and there’s no need to memorise everything immediately.

Question 9

What happens after my first session?

Accepted Answer

You keep practising. You can either join us as a regular student if this practice aligns with you, or join a more in-depth Yoga Teacher Training Class that spreads across 300hours.

Question 10

Is there an age limit?

Accepted Answer

Yoga can be practised at many stages of life.

The important thing is not your age, but finding an appropriate practice for you.

If you’re unsure, speak with us before your first session and we’ll help you understand what would be suitable.

Question 11

What if I have an injury or physical limitation?

Accepted Answer

Please let your teacher know before you begin.

Your teacher can take your current limitations into consideration when guiding your practice. Yoga should not be about forcing your body into a particular shape.

For medical conditions or injuries requiring clinical care, we may also ask that you seek

Question 12

Do I have to be fit?

Accepted Answer

Not at all.

You don’t need to prepare yourself before coming to yoga.

You start where you are.

Question 13

What if everyone else is more advanced than me?

Accepted Answer

That doesn’t matter here.

The person beside you might be doing something completely different because they are working on their practice, not yours.

There is no need to compare and no class to “keep up” with.

Question 14

Is this only about yoga poses?

Accepted Answer

No.

Our teaching includes Asana, Pranayama and Meditation.

What you are introduced to, and when, depends on your practice and your readiness.

Question 15

How quickly will my practice change?

Accepted Answer

There is no fixed timeline.

We don’t add more simply for the sake of making a practice harder.

Your teacher observes how you are progressing and introduces changes when they are appropriate for you.

Question 16

What if I can only come once or twice a week?

Accepted Answer

That’s okay.

Consistency matters more than trying to do everything at once. Speak with your teacher about what is realistic for your schedule and we can guide you from there.

Question 17

What should I bring?

Accepted Answer

Wear something comfortable that allows you to move freely.

Most importantly, bring yourself as you are. You don’t need to know the poses, understand Sanskrit or have any previous yoga experience.

Question 18

I have anxiety and tend to overthink. Is this practice for me?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our practice encourages you to slow down, turn your attention inward, and create a little more space for your mind and body to breathe.

You’ll be guided at your own pace, without the pressure of keeping up with anyone else.

Question 19

Are there shower facilities?

Accepted Answer

Sorry, we don’t have shower facilities.

Our yoga practice is not designed to be a high-intensity workout. The practice is steady and mindful, with an emphasis on moving with awareness rather than overexerting the body.
