A Call to action and ritual performance with the Trees - Poems, song and dance woven in a body of Remembrance. Led by Lindsey Red-tail.

Loma Alta Park Altadena

In collaboration with Lindsey Red-tail, Hands in the Soil, and Altadena Seed Library, we come together to raise awareness, share resources and be with the Trees in ritual - planting new seeds for our Relatives.Orchestrating a movement language of the Trees and Nature Spirits, we listen for what wants to un-Earth in the body and underneath, making offerings, dancing with our Plant relatives, and voicing the unseen. We honor the Land after the Eaton Fire and the Trees that have been cut down. As we gather we return to the Land, with our intentions and prayers, opening the Circle for medicine songs, music and poems, while we make clay and seed pods, planting a new future. In loss there is also rebirth. Seeds waiting to be sung underneath us.Joined by artists Jordan Saenz, Mayumi Dragon, Rosalina Rosales, Neena Diaz and Daniella Lollie’s band “A Violet in Youth” their process is guided by remembrance, collective grief and emergent dance, echoing vibrations of ancestors.+Donations from this event and from our Meditation Tree-T Shirts go directly to healing the soil and supporting the Trees in our communities.+<ul><li>5PM - Song Circle and Clay Seed Pods - with Hands in the Soil (seeds donated by Altadena Seed Library)</li><li>6PM - Ritual Performance - with Red-tail and dancers</li><li>7PM - meditation and closing circle, shares</li></ul>NOTE: Please park on the South side of the Park on Loma Alta near the Altadena, community garden.
