Housing, Homelessness, and the Role of Mayors
Mayor Todd Gloria discusses homelessness, housing, and how mayors can advance solutions in cities across the country.
Join Mayor Todd Gloria and Professor William Eimicke for a conversation on how mayors are confronting two of the most pressing challenges facing American cities: housing affordability and homelessness. Drawing on his experience leading San Diego and serving as President of the US Conference of Mayors, Mayor Gloria will discuss how cities are working to build more housing, streamline permitting, reduce barriers to development, and help people experiencing homelessness move toward permanent housing. The conversation will also explore lessons from San Diego, the role of local leadership, and the state and federal partnerships needed to make meaningful progress nationwide.
